Lesson 1:

Most of you should finish your Spreadsheet Assignment today. It needs to be printed out and handed in to me (all documents named).

You will hand in:
  • WEEK 1 DATA
  • WEEK 2 DATA
  • EVALUATION (definitions)

NOTE: TO MAKE SURE YOUR ENTIRE SPREADSHEET IS ON ONE PAGE, DO THIS:
  1. Go to FILE > PRINT. This will open up a dialog box (a new window)
  2. Click the box that says PAGE ORIENTATION, and select LANDSCAPE
  3. Click the box that says SCALING and select FIT ALL TO PAGE (or something like that)
  4. Now click PRINT (or OK - whatever)

When you finish, search for the following images and save them to your AIT folder (it's OK to get more than one each):
  • A landscape (e.g. a beach horizon, a sunset, long shot of a farm with trees and a cow)
  • An extreme close up of an eye (human or otherwise)
  • Space (i.e. stars, planets, nebula, etc)
  • A car (be creative)
  • A full body photo of your favourite character
  • A face (smiling/angry/crying whatever)
  • A cat (not grumpy)

Remember to NAME THESE ACCORDINGLY or you will have trouble looking for them later.

These images will help us in our next unit of work - Digital Images.

Start up PHOTOSHOP and open 2 images that you would like to "put together"

Use your super fantastic COPY-PASTE skills and these 2 tutorials to see if you can do something creative with your images. For example, put the picture of space inside the picture of the eye.
